did you expand the illustrator lines before you brought the .ai/.dwg file in (post trace/technical drawing/stroke only). If so, this should be easy to extrude. Post extrude, we can turn them into a mesh and then extend the wall thickness (to make the lines fatter surfaces). Fatter lines to work from can also be done by bringing in larger stroke (not .025) lines into Rhino, which will work as long as they are live (vector). We can take a look at it today in class.
